About Us: Carolyn Baker-Brown

Salesperson

My journey to becoming a real estate salesperson began long ago in the banking sector, where I worked my way up from data input to a lending support role, demonstrating a keen understanding of financial services and customer relations.

I have an Honours degree in Sociology, which provides me with an academic insight into human behaviour and societal trends—an invaluable asset in understanding the markets needs and preferences.

Like Tim, I have always been involved in the community and have spent most of my life working for not for profits and volunteering for social justice and environmental causes. I have been a committee member and treasurer for Sands Canterbury since 2018 and recently began a new volunteer role as a driver for meals on wheels in our area.

My diverse professional experience spans multiple industries, in NZ and Australia, and is where I honed my skills in marketing and customer engagement, essential for focusing prospective buyers on the benefits of buying your home, not someone else’s.

I have also worked as a home energy advisor and can provide comment on the energy efficiency of a home, which can be a unique selling point in the housing market.

As a freelance copywriter, I know how to write engaging copy that highlights all your property has to offer.

I gained my real estate salesperson licence in November 2024, and Tim and I married in February 2025. I am excited to be part of the Tim Baker Real Estate family and am committed to upholding the high standards set as a salesperson and integrating innovative marketing features for the benefit of our clients over the next year.
